Bandits who abducted two teenage sisters at Guita community, Chikakore in Kubwa, Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja are demanding for N30 million ransom.
According to a source, the gunmen numbering six, struck on Sunday at about 11:25 pm and made away with the girls, who were said to be 14 and 16 years old.
He said, “I learnt that the kidnappers have demanded N30million ransom from the girls’ family.”
The Chikakore community had barely eight days ago protested to the office of the FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, over the state of the major road linking their community which they described as one of the causes of serial kidnappings in the area.
Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, could not be reached for comments on the incident at the time of this report.
