Be on lookout for Operation Crocodile Smile – Buratai tells Lagosians

Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai during his visit to the government house, Alausa, Ikeja on Monday disclosed that residents should be on the lookout for another round of Operation Crocodile Smile in Lagos state.

According to him, “I understand the importance of the Lagos-Badagry Expressway to the state. And, one of our facilities, Ojo Cantonment, is along that corridor. We will ensure that none of our facilities affect the completion of that project.”

According to report, he made this known when he led other officers of the Nigerian Army to visit Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at the government House, Alausa, Ikeja.

The state governor, Sanwo-Olu urged Nigerians to support the military towards improving security, and added that for an effective security everyone has to be involved.

He further said the country would draw more foreign direct investment in a safe environment and also, pledged the continuous support of his administration for operations of army formations in the state.

He described the security issue as a major challenge and urged the Nigerian Army to continue to put in more efforts in addressing it.

However, Sanwo-Olu, commended officers and men of the Nigerian Army for the role they were playing in ensuring the safety of lives and property of Nigerians.
