Nigerians are going to polls today Saturday February 23 to elect a new president and members of the National Assembly. Currently, President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress, APC, is the frontrunner in the 2019 race for the presidency. Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the main opposition party is posed to defeat the incumbent. T
he Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is presenting 73 presidential Candidates for the office of the president.
Statistics in the public domain are suggesting the emergence of any of the two main candidates; Muhammadu Buhari or Atiku Abubakar.
Who exactly this would be? Nigerians will decide by 2pm today when the election will be officially ended.
However, it is Atiku’s fourth run for the presidency after failed attempts in 2007, 2011 and 2015.
Nigerians are encouraged to go out and vote. For fair, peaceful and credible elections, please don’t engage in vote selling or buying and protect your votes.
