The judgement of a High Court of the FCT that ruled that Adams Oshiomhole cannot be the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following his suspension has been upheld by the Court of Appeal.
A three-man panel of the higher court dismissed the appeal filed by Oshiomhole against the High Court judgement.
Justice Mohammed Lamido, while delivering the decision of the panel, said Oshiomhole’s appeal lacks merit.
The Edo state chapter of the APC had earlier suspended Oshiomhole, a development that was a fallout of the wrangling between the former governor of the state and the incumbent Obaseki, who had earlier on Tuesday announced his resignation from the APC.
A Federal High Court earlier in the year also ruled that his suspension was legal and ordered that he should not parade himself as the APC National Chairman.
