The Badagry Chief Magistrate, Mr Patrick Adekomaiya, has granted bail to a 23-year old salesgirl, Bukola Adeoye alleged of stealing her employer’s N2.1 million.
Lagos state Police prosecutor, Inspector Ayodele Adeosun, on Wednesday, had told the Magistrate’s Court that the defendant committed the offence on December 20, 2024, at about 2:00 pm, at Mosafejo Area of Badagry, Lagos.
Adeosun further alleged that Adeoye stole N968,200 cash, belonging to her employer, one Zannu Thomas, the complainant.
According to the prosecutor, the defendant also converted to her personal use N1,174,800, being the sales made for one week.
The prosecutor said that the offence contravened Section 287 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
The Chief Magistrate granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case until February 11, for further hearing.
