Covid-19: Nigeria records two fatalities
Nigeria on Sunday recorded two fatalities from the covid-19 pandemic, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The NCDC revealed this in an update posted on its official Facebook page. According to the centre, the country also recorded 78 fresh cases across 10 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
With the latest fatality recorded, 2,747 death arising from covid-19 related death has been recorded in the country.
The latest data by the NCDC revealed that Lagos State recorded 22 cases, followed by Kaduna State in the North-west with 12 cases while the FCT reported 10 cases.
Benue and Imo states both recorded nine and eight cases respectively, while Akwa Ibom, Delta and Kano States recorded four cases each.
Jigawa State recorded three cases, Plateau and Rivers recorded a single case each.
The disease centre added that the latest figure of confirmed cases has increased Nigeria’s infection toll to 207,694, while 195,274 people have been treated and discharged nationwide.
