Less than a month after a bomb blast occurred in Iware community in Ardo-Kola council of Taraba state, another bomb explosion hit Jalingo, the capital of the state with many left dead and several injured.
The Jalingo blast occurred on Tuesday night around 9pm a few metres from the military base located in the Jalingo metropolis.
According to reports, the explosion came from grenades thrown into the military base by a passerby.
Taraba police spokesman Usman Abdullahi, said he heard the sound and confirmed that it was an explosion, but could not ascertain if anyone died.
He promised to get back with detailed information as soon as they are available to the Command.
As of the time of filing this report, palpable tension has enveloped the state capital.
