The Kano State Police Command has issued a high-alert warning to residents and visitors alike, calling on the community to exercise heightened vigilance in the face of possible terrorist threats in the state.

The Kano State Police Command made this grave warning known through a statement released by the Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Police Abdullahi Haruna, on Friday.

“The Kano State Police Command, in liaison with other security agencies, has received intelligence reports of suspected terrorists planning to launch attacks on public gatherings in strategic locations within Kano State.

Abdullahi said, “In response, we hereby urge residents to exercise caution and avoid crowded places and environments until further notice as a preventive measure to enable security operatives to identify and dislodge possible attackers.”

He further affirmed that the Kano State Police Command has taken the necessary precautionary measures to safeguard the peace and security of Kano State.

“A team of experts from the command’s Explosive Ordinance Disposal, Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear units have been deployed to strategic locations and are on high alert.
