Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has made a public appeal to the aggrieved members of his ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) party, urging them to remain calm and assuring them that their concerns would not go unnoticed.
President Tinubu delivered these remarks during Wednesday’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which was held at the party’s national secretariat, commonly known as “Buhari House”.
The meeting brought together key party stakeholders, including former Governors Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna state and Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers state, both of whom had previously aired their grievances against the APC’s handling of internal affairs.
In his address to the NEC members, he evaluated his performance and expressed pride in the positive impact he had made on the economy, particularly with regard to the recent downward trend in food prices ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
In addition, the president approved the establishment of reconciliation committees at the state level to address ongoing disputes within the party, and announced plans to relocate the APC national secretariat, citing the facility’s current space constraints as a significant factor in this decision.
Tinubu said, “I have heard your various remarks on how we have strengthened the security of our sovereignty and food security in the country.
“I am grateful to all Nigerians for the electoral successes that we have recorded from one state to another and I am also happy for the various people joining us in the National Assembly.

“On the economy, I am happy the food prices are going down particularly during this Ramadan period.
“Let the NEC find a way to celebrate our progressive ideals and I promise you, our governors and Nigerians, that we will sustain these progressive changes.”
