The spiritual leader of the Adoration Ministry in Enugu State, Father Ejike Mbaka, has sounded the alarm over the rapidly increasing fuel prices in Nigeria, urging the faithful to unite in prayer to stave off the dire consequences of escalating costs.

Fr. Mbaka implored the people to come together and use the power of collective prayer to mitigate the negative impact of this worsening economic situation.

While officially inaugurating the “Blessed Omemma Oil and Gas Limited” filling station in Abakpa, Enugu East Local Government Area, Enugu State, Reverend Father Mbaka raised alarm over the country’s current state of food scarcity, warning that if left unchecked, it could escalate into a full-blown famine.

The cleric also advised the populace to be judicious in managing their finances and avoid solely relying on bank deposits. Emphasizing the adverse impact of inflation on savings, Mbaka urged citizens to consider investing their money in lucrative ventures as an alternative.

Mbaka, in his address, assured Nigerians that the government is cognizant of the steps required to contain the fuel price increase, and enjoined the citizens to join hands in prayer for a timely resolution to the unfolding crisis.

He said, “All I can say is that we need more prayers for Nigeria to be well. From my angle, I am a spiritual man but I want to tell you that we need more prayers.

“If we are not careful, what we are passing now is a hunger stage, The famine stage is still coming, so that’s why I pray that whatever we can do to invest our money do it, don’t keep it in the bank because it will keep devaluing.

“So, the government knows what they can do about the fuel hike, it’s not a thing of advice to them. One solution for them is to conquer these maladies and toxic situations.”
