Police Detains Officer Aiding Okoyas Naira Abuse, EFCC Invites Offenders

The policeman carrying bundles of naira notes for Okaya’s two sons, Subomi and Wahab Okoya at the scene of naira abuse has been arrested by the police authority.

Spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force, Muyiwa Adejobi, stated this on Friday.

Subomi and Wahab Okoya; sons of billionaire businessman Razaq Okoya were captured in a video flaunting, tossing and spraying N1,000 notes while dancing in a promotional clip of a video for Mr Raheem’s new song titled “Credit Alert.”

Suspects

Meanwhile, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has invited Subomi and Wahab Okoya to report on Monday for questioning over the naira abuse.

According to an invitation letter by the acting Director of the EFCC Lagos Directorate, Michael Wetkas, the brothers are to report to the head, special operations team at the anti-graft agency’s office at 15A Awolowo Road, on Monday, by 10 a.m.

The brothers’ action is said to have violated Section 21(3) of the Central Bank of Nigeria Act, 2007.
