Super Eagles winger, Ejuke, looks forward for three points against Barcelona
Sevilla and Super Eagles winger, Chidera Ejuke, said his club side is working toward three points when they travel to face Barcelona on Sunday.
The former Royal Antwerp man safely returned to his club after spending over thirteen hours stranded in a Libyan airport with the rest of the Nigerian footballers and staff.
Speaking ahead of his side’s trip to the Lluis Company’s Olympic Stadium on Sunday evening, Ejuke revealed his side will settle for nothing less than a win.
In an interview with El Chiringuito TV, he said, “Yes, Barcelona is a great team with a lot of top players as well, but you know, we are Sevilla as well. We just want to go there, give our best, and hopefully, come back with the win as well.”
Quizzed about Barcelona’s stance amongst the greatest Spanish teams, Ejuke revealed Barca are at the fore-front of the pack whilst heaping praise on their 17-year-old youngster, Lamine Yamal.
“I mean, you could say that because at the moment they’re top of the table, but there’s also Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid sometimes. Barca are currently top, so you could say that. About Lamine Yamal? He’s a top player. What he’s doing at his age makes him a top player,” the 26-year-old concluded.
Barcelona are currently top of the La Liga with 24 poiints from nine games while Sevilla are 12th with twelve points from nine games.
