The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E. A. Adeboye has announced a 30-day fasting and prayer for Nigeria.
The fasting and prayer exercise is said to commence from 1st November to 30th of the same month while marathon fast is said to last for fourteen days (1st-14th November).
According to statement released by the Assistant General Overseer (Admin and Personnel), Pastor J.F. Odesola, prayer guide will be forwarded soon.
However, individuals are encouraged to gather for prayers where possible but in accordance to the Covid-19 guidelines and social distance rule.
Even though the church said the fasting exercise is an annual programme, some Nigerians still believe that it could be in response to recent happenings as a result of the #EndSARS protests resulting to killing, arson and looting.
