A medical doctor working with the Nigeria Police Force, Lagos State Command, who was discovered to be an Inspector has received accelerated promotion as he has been elevated to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP).
The medical officer, Dr Opeyemi Ojo, with his elevation from Inspector, therefore bypassed both ASP and DSP ranks to become an SP, thereby getting triple promotion.
He was decorated with his new rank at a ceremony held on Tuesday, July 28, at the Command Headquarters, Ikeja, by the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Tijani Fatai, assisted by the wife of the medical practitioner.
While decorating the officer, the CP describe the promotion as a recognition of his professional competence, dedication and invaluable contributions to healthcare service delivery within the Nigeria Police Force.
He urged the medical officer to remain steadfast in the discharge of his professional responsibilities, uphold the ethics of the medical profession and the core values of the Nigeria Police Force.
