A young man who conspired with two other persons to rob his mother and siblings of cash and other valuables during a midnight invasion of the family house has been arrested along with the men by operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, September 15, around midnight at the house located at Wuro Kuturu in the Jimeta area of the state.
It was gathered that the son conspired with two others, armed themselves with weapons and gained entry into the family residence, where they robbed his mother and siblings of the sum of ₦200,000, two phones, a power bank and other valuables.
Following a report of the incident lodged at the police station by the mother, operatives attached to the Karewa Area Command swung into action and arrested the son, Aminu Adamu, as well as his accomplices, Adamu Mamman and Nuhu Umar, on Thursday, September 17.
During their interrogation, they were said to have confessed carrying out the robbery and at the point of their arrest, items recovered from them included a knife, pliers, scissors, various hard drugs including Indian hemp.
They have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for more investigation into the robbery and they are expected to be charged to court at the conclusion of the investigation.
