Eleven persons who have been in kidnappers den for the past 92 days have been rescued by the men of the Nigerian Army.
The victims, who had been in captivity since October 26, 2025, were rescued by the soldiers during a late-night operation on Monday, January 26, along the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway corridor.
It was gathered that troops of the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Doka, leveraging high-definition, long-range CCTV surveillance, detected armed men attempting to move their captives through the Gidan Duna-Amale bush track under the cover of darkness and immediately initiated a coordinated interception.
According to the Nigerian Army, a swift high-speed pursuit using vehicles and motorcycles overwhelmed the criminals, forcing them to abandon their captives after which they fled into the surrounding hideouts.
“The operation resulted in the successful rescue of five adult males, three adult females and three children who had been held in captivity since their abduction from Gada Mallam Maman Community on October 26, bringing an end to 92 days of ordeal,” the army said in a statement on Tuesday, January 27.
The rescued individuals are currently receiving medical attention at a military facility after which they are expected to be reunited with their families.
