Men of the Yobe State Police Command have declared a manhunt for an 18-year-old housewife who fled after attacking her 25-year-old husband and inflicting what the police described as a ‘deep cut’ on his manhood.
The command disclosed the incident in a statement on Saturday, February 7, stating that the teenage housewife, Khadija Jamilu, attacked her husband, Mohammed Abdullahi, with a knife in Potiskum following a domestic dispute around 1:00 a.m.
It was gathered that after she carried out the act, and on seeing her husband in a pool of blood, she fled and her whereabouts have remained unknown.
The command said a distress call was received by operatives of the Potiskum Divisional Headquarters on Friday around 10:00 a,m., which made the men of the station race to the scene.
On getting to the scene, the officers rushed the man to the State Specialist Hospital, Potiskum and he was subsequently referred to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Azare, Bauchi State, where he is currently receiving treatment.
The command added that it had begun a manhunt for the arrest of the housewife, while investigation as to the real cause of the incident is ongoing
