It was wailings galore on Tuesday afternoon when residents of a community in Kano State buried five persons that were killed by bandits who launched an attack on them.
The bandits on motorcycles invaded Yan-Kamaye community in Tsanyawa Local Government Area of the state on Monday afternoon, killed five persons and injured several others during the attack.
The attack was said to have lasted for two hours as the bandits raided the community unchallenged while they were said to have later taken away an unspecified number of persons.
However, on Tuesday afternoon, funeral prayers were held for those killed in accordance with Islamic rites amid wailings.

In another sad development, early on Monday around 2:00 a.m., bandits stormed Maigora town in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State, rustling cattle and seizing a resident’s motorcycle in the latest attack to hit the town.
A source in the town told Impact Nigeria News Online on Tuesday afternoon that the incident has renewed fear among residents, especially as authorities continue negotiations with armed groups in an effort to restore peace across the axis.
Despite the ongoing talks, attacks and raids on communities persist, raising growing doubts among locals about the effectiveness and sincerity of the reconciliation process.
The Northern part of the country, especially the North-West, has been under the grips of bandits and terrorists who unleash attacks on residents of various communities, killing some and abducting others.
