The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Continent 3, has said it will empower 8,400 Nigerians on free digital skills ahead of Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s 84th birthday.
Adeboye, the General Overseer of the church, will clock 84 on March 2.
The Continental 3 Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Johnson Funso Odesola, made this known during a news conference at the RCCG Love Assembly on Sunday in Lagos State.
“This strategic initiative is coordinated by Love Transformation Academy, the empowerment arm of RCCG Love Assembly, Lagos Province 1, and in partnership with Faith Cometh Multimedia Consultants.
“This is designed to equip youths, young adults, church members and the general public with practical, income-generating digital competencies.
“The programme is part of RCCG’s broader commitment to empower individuals with relevant digital and entrepreneurial skills,” he said.
He added that the programme was aimed at reducing unemployment among youths.
“This is to create sustainable income pathways through digital platforms, providing a structured avenue for discipleship, evangelism, and community impact.
“This is to accelerate the church’s vision 2032 growth and socio-economic transformation agenda,” he added.
He added that participants would receive training in high-demand digital fields which would include video editing, graphic design, digital marketing, and social media management.
“Others are animation content creation, and monetisation of digital skills,” he said.
He stressed that the courses would be delivered free with registration on a first-come, first-served basis.
He called on youths and young adults, students and job seekers, entrepreneurs and creative church members and the general public to take advantage of this life-changing opportunity.
