It was the end of the road for three robbers who snatched a trailer carrying a container loaded with goods from the driver at gunpoint as they have been arrested by men of the Nigerian Army.

The three robbers, Darlington Ubochi, Chinedu Abara and Julius Chinemem Godwin, were arrested by troops of 144 Battalion operating under Operation EASTERN SANITY during a night patrol.

It was gathered that the men were apprehended with the trailer on February 11 after it was reported stolen on February 8 from Port Harcourt Road, Aba, and later parked at Opobo Junction.

After receiving the report, the troops were said to have carried out an intelligence which led them to where the trailer carrying the container was recovered and the men arrested.

The robbers have given more useful information to the soldiers and they will be handed over to the appropriate quarters for prosecution at the conclusion of the investigation.
