The Vice presidential debate took place on Friday December 14 with five vice presidential candidate taking to the podium to dig it out.
According to report, PDP’s candidate, Peter Obi was hitting hard most especially on the APC candidate, Yemi Osinbajo by noting that the present government is responsible for the nation’s state among other reasons.
On the other hand, Osinbajo was on the defensive by referring to “taking at least 400,000 people so far out of poverty line”.
In the heat of the debate it looked like the other candidate were trailing behind but it’s left for Nigerians to take a stand base on what they have heard.
However, the debate was supposed to be put on hold due to the exclusion of some other vice presidential candidates but the debate went on in spite of the protest.
The debate had Vice president Yemi Osinbanjo of the All progressive Party(APC), Peter Obi of the Peoples Democratic party(PDP), Khadijah Abdullahi-Iya of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), Umma Getso of the Young Progressive Party (YPP), and Ganiyu Galadima of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN).

The Alliance for New Nigeria has congratulated its vice presidential candidate, Hajia Khadijah Abdullahi-Iya over her performance at the 2019 Vice Presidential Debate which took place on Friday.
According to the party Khadijah Abdullahi-Iya did incredibly well in spite of the almost short notice of the debate. She showed her understanding about the country’s economic state.
The party however brought to notice the bondage and state of living that godfathers and cabals in politics have brought upon the masses and in this light request that Nigerians vote ANN stating that it is the only party that can bring on board a New Nigeria with lot of opportunities.
The party went on to say that they are prepared for the Presidential debate which has been scheduled for the 19th of January 2019 and that it looks forward to exposing Nigerians to an alternative to vote for outside the two parties, APC and PDP which are two sides of the same bad coin.
