Manchester United star, Anthony Martial, according to report expressed delight over Jose Mourinho’s sack.
Report has it that Martial had been struggling under Mourinho who took over from Louis van Gaal as manager back in the summer of2016.
However, the two parties got on the wrong side of the bed when Martial was to give his No 9 jersey to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who arrived from PSG. This decision left martial with a heavy heart.
As Jose Mourinho’s loyalist, Ibrahimovic inherited Martial’s favourite number upon signing. Although martial had kept the cool insisting that him and mounriho have no issue, reverse was the case behind camera.
Mourinho had during summer wanted to sell Martial but thee ffort proved abortive.
Arsenal legend says Amaechi is good but for injury
Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg was pleased that Nigerian winger Xavier Amaechi has returned to feat after more than three months on the sidelines.
In their latest game in the Premier League 2, Ljungberg’s Gunners U23 side were humiliated 4-0 by Blackburn Rovers but the good side of the game is that Amaechi came through his comeback match intact after holding on for 26 minutes on the Meadow Park turf.
His injury problem had placed him on the sideline if not he would have been considered for a firs team debut in the Europa league.
Ljungberg said ”Of course he’s been a big miss. He had a stress fracture and so did Robbie, so we’ve had quite a few long-term injuries.
”That was probably the highlight of the day when he came on. He was very good before he got injured but I think he only played three games before he got injured, so he needs to go slowly when he comes back into it.
”He will be a very,very good player but he needs to work because he’s missed a few months of football unfortunately.”
