The Court of Appeal in Abuja on Monday, March 9, affirmed a lower court’s judgment restraining the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from recognising the outcomes of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) national convention held on November 15 and 16, 2025, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The appellate court, in a unanimous decision, dismissed the PDP’s appeal against the October 31 ruling by Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court.
The three-member panel of justices resolved all four issues raised by the PDP against the party, deeming the appeal meritless and frivolous.
As a result, the court therefore awarded N2 million in costs against the party.
