Premier League giants Chelsea have completed the signing of 20-year-old American football star Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund for £58 million.
But the winger who had been linked to Liverpool will be loaned back to the Bundesliga side until the end of the ongoing League season in Europe.
Chelsea have beaten a number of Premier League clubs to the signing and the winger will join Maurizio Sarri’s men in the summer.
Discussing his switch, Pulisic told the Chelsea official website “In the summer I move on to Chelsea and to a new competition, the Premier League. It is a privilege and I look forward to working hard towards being a contributor to their team.
Chelsea director, Marina Granovskaia, has outlined why the club have spent so much on a player whose contract was set to expire in 2020.
Dortmund sporting director, Michael Zorc, said: “It was always Christian’s dream to play in the Premier League.
