Nigerian Customs Services has denied reports speculating that it intercepted a container loaded with US dollars.
Spokesperson for the Nigerian Customs, Joseph Attah while speaking at a press briefing in Lagos squashed the rumours which began circulating social media after recent seizures of about 40 containers along the Apapa road.
Attah claimed this was a ruse by those who did not have accurate information to bring about panic in the country’s political system, he warned such individuals to desist. He further explained that the actual contents of the container were tramadol along with other pain killer drugs.
