Victor Osimhen is a man on a mission, and the latest chapter of his fiery season is one for the history books. The Super Eagles’ sharpshooter fired an emphatic hat-trick in Galatasaray’s 4-0 demolition of Antalyaspor at Rams Park on Friday, sending a powerful message to both Rwanda and Zimbabwe ahead of the looming international fixtures.

After a string of frustrating draws, the Lions of Galatasaray were desperate to return to winning ways, and Osimhen didn’t disappoint. With the opening minutes offering no joy to his teammates, including misses from Davinson Sanchez and Przemyslaw Frankowski, it was Osimhen who ignited the game in the 30th minute. He pounced on a crisp pass from Alvaro Morata and delivered a low, lethal finish into the back of the net.

The first half saw Galatasaray add more fuel to the fire. A VAR-awarded penalty just before halftime allowed Morata to double the lead, making it 2-0. But the best was yet to come. In the dying seconds of the first half, Osimhen struck again – this time a clinical finish that left Antalyaspor’s defense scrambling. The halftime whistle blew with the scoreline at a commanding 3-0.

The second half was no different. In the 52nd minute, Osimhen’s sharp instincts were on full display as he latched onto a brilliant through ball from Yunus Akgun and fired yet another clinical strike. Four-nil. Job done. And with that, Osimhen’s work was complete – his third goal was the final nail in Antalyaspor’s coffin, a glorious statement of his unstoppable form.

Taken off in the 68th minute, Osimhen was given a well-deserved rest after his flawless performance. As the Super Eagles now turn their focus to upcoming clashes with Rwanda and Zimbabwe, Osimhen’s red-hot form is sure to have the entire nation buzzing with hope. Coach Eric Chelle will be praying that the striker’s momentum continues to soar, and if he can work his magic to generate more chances, Osimhen could very well light up the qualifiers with more goals.

If there’s anyone who can carry the Super Eagles to glory, it’s the man who’s been terrorizing defences with his lethal precision. Watch out, Rwanda and Zimbabwe – the King of the Turkish League is coming for you!
