Covid-19: UK begins second lockdown today for 4 weeks
United Kingdom Members of Parliament on Wednesday November 4 voted for new restrictions for the next four weeks in view of the renewed rise in the number of people infected by coronavirus.
In the latest government update, London infection rate for Covid-19 sits at 148 cases per 100,000 population with 2,307 people testing positive for the disease.
Under the new lockdown rules people are to stay at home unless they need to travel for childcare or education, work, exercise, shopping for basic necessities, medical needs or to visit members of your support bubble or provide care for vulnerable people, or as a volunteer.
Residents are not allowed meet socially indoors with family or friends unless they are part of the same household.
International travel is banned, except for work, and travel within the UK is discouraged, except for work.
The new lockdown will last for four weeks, coming to an end on Wednesday, December 2.
