Yewande Ademiluyi is a clarity coach, content creator, video editor, female drone pilot. In this interview session with our correspondent, Mercy Ezeokonkwo, she proclaims her faith in Christ Jesus unashamedly. She talked about purpose, her motivation. She charges young people to learn the skill of effective communication via speaking and writing. Excerpt;

Briefly tell us about you

Yéwandé Adémilúyì (yourglobalwoman) is a multipotentialite. She is a video creator and a drone pilot.

She is a strong believer in storytelling and showing up and she has done this by helping 300 individuals through webinars, personalized coaching and clarity session.

Yewande is on a mission to become a global change maker in the media and policy space. She is a Christian and unashamedly one because she believes that Christ is the only one that has brought her thus far.

What’s your definition of purpose? From your definition, do you think you’re fulfilling purpose?

Purpose is whatever you find to do, do it the best, to impact lives and reflect JESUS

Oh yes I’m fulfilling purpose …

What motivates you to do all you do?

As weird as it might sound, problems motivate me because I hate complaining about something I know I or someone can fix it.  My motivation quote is “I must not die full”

What are the challenges you’ve faced and how were you able to overcome them?

The challenges are many; I believe as long as you are here on earth, you will always face challenge but to say a few, it will be people believing I can do what I do; I most often get the saying- You are a lady video editor or flies pilot, woooow; are you sure? Can you send us sample of what you’ve done? And two, my health(few people know this but while growing up I struggle with my health a lot but the extrovertish part of me hides this.

How I’ve been able to overcome them?

– The word of God most often the promise slips I pick in church and sermons I hear personally.

– A constant reassurance of who I am and what I carry by my loved ones (I love my family and friends so much, God bless them for me).

– Consistency and Planning

How can one move from shadow to spotlight?

Self-awareness- know who you are and what you carry.

First and foremost, I believe the person is already doing something meaningful before thinking of coming to the spotlight if not that can be overwhelming on its own.

But to move to the spotlight, shooting your shots I mean applying for opportunities is the best way to do this because this will show how valuable you are.

I will also add that right positioning on social media platforms is another way to do this because there is where you even get access to the opportunities.

Choose the medium to express it and SHOW UP, SHOW OFF. Be consistent and be committed to at least one community.

How can young people remain relevant in this time?

You will remain relevant when you are open to learning all the time and also by solving problems because this makes you indispensable.

By doing the Basic things that people are overlooking in their Industry (we are in the world of information overload but there’s a mixture of wrong and right information so choosing to be a voice of alignment to people will make you relevant).

Discipline and heart to serve too can help you stay relevant and not extinct.

What skills would you advice young people to learn?

Soft skills are important these days and they include: Effective Communication, Self-leadership, Team work, Networking skill, Time Management and Problem solving.

Other skills like: Storytelling, Writing, Public speaking.  Knowing how to sell are super important these days for any young person to have.

Relevant skills in their chosen field of interest (industry differs).

Kindly leave an advice for our readers

My advice to readers is that destiny is not emotional because life will go be you ONLY what you DEMAND.

Thank you.
