Following the retirement of Nelson Ayewoh, Ibrahim El-Ladan has assumed duty as the acting Clerk of the Senate.
The new acting Clerk assumed duty on Tuesday and was announced by the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, during the plenary.
Lawan revealed that El-Ladan was appointed as the acting clerk of the senate by the National Assembly Service Commission on Friday. While welcoming the acting Clerk, the president of Senate wished him a very successful and peaceful tenure.
The National Assembly Commission in the recent appointments also appointed Ojo Olatunde as acting Clerk of the National Assembly while Bala Mohamed was as acting Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly.
Meanwhile, Patrick Giwa remains Clerk of the House of Representatives, pending his retirement in November and Yusuf Danbatta as acting Secretary to the National Assembly.
