The Kano state Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has promised to accept defeat and congratulate winner of the Saturday governorship election in the state, if he loses.

Ganduje made this known while speaking in Kano after the signing of the Peace Accord for the second time organized by the state election peace committee.

He said “Yes I am willing to accept the result because that is the will of God and I always believe in the will of God.

“Any person that wins, it is the will of God and I am willing to call and congratulate him.”

During the signing also, the co-chairman of the Peace Accord Committee, the Catholic bishop of Kano Diocese, Reverend Dr. John Namaza Niyiring lamented over some political crisis that was recorded after the signing of the first peace accord.

He said “Since the signing of the first peace accord, the committee has observed some serious concern in Kano state, particularly putting into consideration the unhealthy political happenings during some political rallies at Dawakin Tofa and other places.”
