Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, on Monday, July 20, honoured the invitation extended to him by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC).
The invitation was in regard to the ongoing investigation into the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) ‘fake’ agency matter that has made headlines in the past couple of weeks.
Gbajabiamila’s lawyer, Jiti Ogunye, disclosed on Monday that the president’s Chief of Staff arrived at the headquarters of the agency around 3:00 p.m. on Monday and was received by senior officials.
Ogunye confirmed that Gbajabiamila was grilled at the ICPC headquarters for some minutes where he gave his testimony, responded to various questions accordingly, after which he was allowed to go.
He added that Gbajabiamila had since returned to his duty post.
“In full cooperation with the ICPC acting as directed by the President of Nigeria, I hereby confirm that my client, Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President of Nigeria, responded to the invitation of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) and appeared at about 15:00hrs on Monday, July 20, 2026, as part of the ongoing investigation into the activities of the ‘PFIPC’ fake agency, among others,” Ogunye said.
