Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state attended the wedding fatiha of daughter of the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, Aisha and Usman Ibrahim Biu in Kaltungo.

The wedding fatiha, which took place at the palace of Mai Kaltungo, witnessed the presence of high profile dignitaries from within and outside the state, including the Deputy Governor, Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau,  Speaker of Gombe state House of Assembly,  Rt. Hon. Abubakar Sadiq Ibrahim Kurba, his Deputy, Hon. Siddi Buba, Senator, representing Gombe South, Senator BK Amos, former minister of Transport, Barr. Abdullahi Idris Umar, members of the state House of Assembly, Commissioners, Special Advisers and top Government functionaries.

The Emir of Gombe and Chairman of Gombe state Council of Emirs and Chiefs,  Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III led other royal fathers in attendance at the occasion which was hosted by the Mai Kaltungo,  Engineer Saleh Mohammed.

The Chief Imam of Kaltungo central mosque, Ustaz Mohammed Isa Imam presided over the wedding and contracted the marriage between Aisha and Usman after the announcement of 100, 000 Naira dowry in line with Islamic injunctions.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the wedding,  Governor Inuwa Yahaya admonished the couple to put God first in their affairs, build their marriage on trust, patience and respect to one another as well as remain prayerful at all the time.

He congratulated them and their parents, praying Almighty Allah to bless the marriage.

The Secretary to the state Government and father of the bride, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi expressed appreciation to Governor Inuwa Yahaya and all the guests that attended the occasion for their show of love and solidarity.
