A Toyota Hilux van overturned after colliding head-on with a Coaster bus at the Civic Center Intersection on Tuesday, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has reported.
According to an update posted on LASTMA’s official X handle, the Hilux struck a traffic light before veering into the path of the oncoming bus, leading to the crash. The impact caused the Hilux to tumble upside down.
Police officers have been contacted for evaluation before evacuation of the vehicles, while LASTMA personnel are on the scene managing traffic and ensuring safety.
No casualty figures have been confirmed as of the time of this report.
