The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the original result slips of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are now ready for printing.
JAMB’s Public Communications Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in a statement posted on the board’s official X handle on Wednesday, June 17.
According to the statement, the original result slips contain candidates’ photographs, national ranking, and other security features required for post-UTME screening and admission processes in tertiary institutions.
“The 2026 UTME Original Result Slip will be available for printing within the next two hours today, Wednesday, 17th June, 2026.
“The Original Result Slip contains the candidate’s photograph, national ranking, and other security features. It is part of the official document required for post-UTME processing and consideration by tertiary institutions.
“Candidates can conveniently print their Original Result Slip from any internet-enabled device, whether at home, in the office, or at accredited business centres,” the statement read.
The examination body also urged candidates to ensure they carefully review their details after printing and keep copies for future admission-related use.

The 2026 UTME main examination took place between April 16 and April 25, 2026, and had 2,243,816 registered candidates, representing a 10.5 percent increase compared with those who registered to sit for the examination in 2025.
JAMB subsequently held the 2026 UTME mop-up examination on June 13, 2026, for candidates affected by technical glitches or biometric issues or other disruptions at examination centres during the primary exercise.
On June 16, the examination body announced the release of results from the mop-up exercise, adding that printing of results for admission purposes would commence before the weekend.
The statement read, “Candidates who participated in the examination can check their results through the Board’s established result-checking channels.
“Following the successful conclusion of the mop-up exercise and the release of the results, the Board will commence the ranking of candidates.
“Thereafter, the printing of results for admission purposes is expected to begin before the weekend.”
Printing of original result slips had been delayed earlier to allow completion of foreign-based examinations and the mop-up round.
The release of printable slips will enable candidates to proceed with applications to tertiary institutions for the 2026/2027 admission cycle, even as many institutions of higher learning have already begun or are about to commence post-UTME registrations.
