Fourth-term member of the House of Representatives, James Faleke, who has been representing Ikeja Federal Constituency of Lagos State in the lower chamber since 2011, is seeking a return there for the fifth term.
The Kogi State-born Faleke was first elected to represent Ikeja constituency in 2011 and was reelected in 2015, 2019 and 2023, making him to have spent 14 years in representing Ikeja in the lower house of parliament.
Sixty seven-year-old Faleke, from Ekinrin Ade, Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, in a post on his X handle seeking people’s mandate to return to the House of Reps, said he would continue to work diligently, listen to their concerns, and will not let them down.
He said: “My dear Ikeja Constituents. As the window for campaigns officially begins, I humbly ask for your continued support as I seek your mandate to return to the Green Chambers and continue representing the good people of Ikeja Federal Constituency.
“Over the years, we have worked tirelessly to serve you. We proposed and sponsored major legislation, delivered impactful constituency projects and empowerment programmes, and facilitated employment opportunities with the Federal Government for many of our constituents.
“I am deeply grateful for the trust and support you have shown us over the years. You have stood firmly with our great party, the APC, and supported our candidates; from our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to our representatives at the various levels.
“As we begin this journey once again, I humbly ask that you renew your confidence in me and grant me the opportunity to serve you for another term.
“I assure you that I will continue to work diligently, listen to your concerns and deliver on our shared aspirations. I will not let you down.
“In the days ahead, I will share in greater detail the achievements recorded over the past four years and outline our vision for the next term. If given the mandate once again, our focus will be to consolidate on these achievements, build on our progress, and do even more for the people of Ikeja.
“Thank you for your unwavering support, trust and prayers. Long Live Ikeja Federal Constituency! Long Live Lagos State! Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!”
