Angry family Umuobom family in Obodogba quarters in Okpanam community, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta state has dragged their son, Chukwuka Abumujor to Akwukwu Igbo High Court over alleged sale of their lands.
In suit no Aku/23/19 filed by Barr Chris Obaize of Rueben Izeze and Partners, the claimants: Diokpa Sunday Okolo, Diokpa Ogugu Olele, Alex Nwatumade , Peter Abumujor and Sunday Mokwunye, suing for themselves and on behalf of the Umuobom family, are seeking the court’s declaration that the claimants are the owners of the legal equitable and customary right in the land situated at No 1, Umuobom family land opposite Alpha Supermarket Umuobom clan.
They are seeking an order for possession of the land lying and situated at No1 Umuobom family land, opposite Alpha Supermarket Umuobom Clan, Obodogba quarters Okpanam community,as well as recover the land from them .
The claimants further sought a declaration that the purported sale alienation of the land in dispute being family property by the Ist Defendant, who is not the head of the family and who did sell with authorization from other family members to the 2nd Defendant is unlawful, illegal, null and void.
While seeking an order of perpetual Injunction to restrain the Defendants whether by themselves or their servants or agents or otherwise, whosoever from further forcibly entry and alterations into the land lying and situated at No1, Umuobom family land opposite Alpha Supermarket Umuobomaghe Clan, Obodogba quarters, Okpanam community, the claimants sought for further or other reliefs as Honourable Court may seem fit to make in the circumstances and Justice of the case.
No date has been fixed for the hearing of the case.
