A man who has been posing as a medical doctor working with the National Hospital, Abuja, and going about as a medical personnel in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, has been disowned by the authorities of the hospital.
The man, who goes about with the name “Dr Ohaji Kenneth,” in an identity card he moves around with, claimed he belongs to the “Department of Surgery” of the foremost hospital in the country.
What this connotes is that with his claims, he may carry out surgeries on unsuspecting residents of the state.
According to the “Staff ID Card Number 95,” the hospital, which was written as “Natioinal Hospital,” is located at Independence Avenue, Phase 2, Abuja.
However, apparently following a deluge of reports regarding the activities of the man, especially in Ebonyi State, the National Hospital on Friday, March 13, issued a statement disowning him.
Describing him as “an impostor’, the hospital warned Nigerians not to have anything to do with him as he is not a doctor from the hospital.
The National Hospital wrote: “The management of the National Hospital, Abuja, wishes to alert the general public, most especially residents of Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, that the fellow whose picture appears on a fake National Hospital, Abuja Identity Card below is an impostor.
“He has no connection whatsoever with the hospital.
“In the event of any overture from him, please report him to the nearest security outfit available.”
