A multiple vehicle accident occurred on Monday along the Iyana Iba flyover, inward Volks, involving a Mercedes-Benz SUV and several other vehicles.
The incident, which happened during peak traffic hours, caused a major obstruction on the busy route, leaving commuters stranded for long periods. Eyewitnesses said the crash involved at least one Benz jeep and several smaller vehicles, though details of casualties were not immediately available.
Police officers from Ojo Division have been deployed to the scene to assess the situation and coordinate evacuation efforts. Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) are also on the ground, working to control traffic and prevent further congestion.
Authorities have urged motorists to exercise patience and consider alternative routes while clearance operations continue. Rescue teams were still evaluating the extent of damage at press time.
Traffic managers said efforts were being made to restore free flow as soon as possible. Meanwhile, investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
