Governor Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger State has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the occasion of his second year in office, describing him as a “true leader” whose policies have set Nigeria on a path of growth and transformation.
In a statement issued Thursday by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, Governor Bago praised Tinubu’s leadership as one defined by determination, bold policy reforms, and a renewed commitment to national development.
“President Tinubu’s steadfast commitment to democratic ideals, inclusive development, and visionary governance has repositioned the nation and placed it on an upward trajectory,” the governor said.
Highlighting key achievements of the administration, Bago noted that Nigeria has witnessed renewed focus on economic revitalisation, infrastructure expansion, social investment, and the strengthening of public institutions over the last two years.
The governor also commended what he called the president’s “distinctive and visionary leadership,” saying it continues to earn him admiration across party lines.
“While challenges may persist,” he said, “the progress made under President Tinubu’s leadership in just two years is significant and worth celebrating.”
Governor Bago reaffirmed the full support of the government and people of Niger State for the realisation of the president’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which he said is designed to transform Nigeria and improve the lives of its citizens.
“I wish President Tinubu more strength, wisdom, and success as he continues in the noble service of making Nigeria greater,” the statement concluded.
