The Federal Government said Nigerian airspace would be opened for international flight from August 29.
This is coming after four months of closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Minister for Aviation, Hadi Sirika, who made this known during the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 press briefing on Monday, explained that the resumption would be in batches with the Lagos and Abuja airports as the first batch.
The Minister also tweeted, “Glad to announce the resumption of international flights from the August 29, 2020 beginning with Lagos and Abuja as we did with the domestic flight resumption.”
“Protocols and procedures will be announced in due course. We thank you for your patience,” he added.
