NUJ to boycott Fani –Kayode’s Press Conference

Members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Akwa Ibom State have resolved to boycott a press conference planned for Femi Fani-Kayode, an ex-Minister of Aviation, who is presently in the state.

In a statement on Friday, the chapter gave the directive for all journalists not to partake in any activity organized by the ex-minister.

Fani-Kayode had name-called a journalist “stupid” during a press conference in Calabar, Cross River State and his statement has been criticized by a lot of Nigerians.

The reporter representing Daily Trust asked the ex-minister who is bankrolling his travel in Nigeria.

He was infuriated by the reporter’s question but has since withdrawn the word “stupid” for his comments.

However, another video emerged after this incident revealing a similar situation between the ex-minister and a journalist sometime this month.
