Ortom committed to youths and sports development, says Chief Press Secretary

Chief Press Secretary to the Benue State Governor, Mr. Terver Akase has expressed the commitment of Governor Ortom to youths and sports development stating that the governor will continue to support talent hunt initiatives.

Mr Akase made this known today during the final game of a football tournament at Railway Quarters Makurdi .

The football tournament lasted for two weeks and was organised by Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Makurdi in collaboration with the Vice Chairman, Lobi Stars FC, Mr Mike Idoko.

Akase commended the church for such an initiative stressing that through the competition, players would be discovered for Lobi Stars, national and international teams.

The tournament featured ten teams within Benue state capital with Faith Hills Football Club of Wadata ending p as the winner after defeating Elite Football Club, Railway Quarters by a lone goal scored by Demenenge Daga.

Joshua Igoche of Faith Hills Football Club Wadata won the Most Valuable Player of the tournament while Young Lions Football Club of Makurdi came third in the tournament.

Akase presented the trophy to Faith Hills Football Club, Wadata, and also donated a set of jerseys to each of the teams that played the final game.
