Nigerian mega star and former member of the defunct Psquare, Paul Okoye has tested positive to Covid-19.
The music star says he has been battling with the ailment for over 10 days.
The music star who took to his Instagram page made this known on Tuesday, January 5, 2021.
“I know as typical Nigerian or African is very hard to believe. Some will say experience is the best teacher. Oh well, the experience and the teacher has visited me and they’ve been dealing with me for more than 10 days now.
“Y’all better be careful out there. If you like believe me, if you like don’t, believe me, you can as well wait for your own experience by playing ignorance. Goodluck, God help us all.”
Okoye’s illness is coming a few months after his twin brother Peter and his family were affected by the novel virus.
Meanwhile, veteran comedian, Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, popularly known as Alibaba has recovered from the ailment. The comedian described those who think the virus is a scam as fools. “Anyone who says COVID-19 is a scam is a compound idiot and a fool.”
The comedian says he spent the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays in isolation.
The comedian who has been in isolation after contracting the virus made this known via his Instagram page on Monday, January 4, 2021.
“COVID is real. Don’t let anyone tell you it’s a scam. I just came out of isolation. Several people died while I was there. Some of my close friends knew and they were very supportive,” he wrote.
“I thank the Lagos State governor @jidesanwoolu and the commissioner for health, the MD of the COVID CENTRE in YABA, the Doctors, especially Dr Nifemi, who are risking their lives to keep us alive. Thanks to all the nurses.”
“I want to thank @gbengaadeyinka1stgcon… you are a good friend. @margaretorakwusi @maryamuwai @itsifeanyi and friends to go checked up on me. COVID is real. Observe all the protocols.”

The veteran comedian also joins the list of celebrities who have recovered from the novel disease.
