The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the final list of candidates for the upcoming Osun State governorship election scheduled for August 8, 2026.
From the list, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) having no candidates.
According to a statement issued by Musa Olurode, INEC’s Public Relations Officer in Osun State, the parties and their candidates that made the list include Accord, Action Alliance, African Action Congress, African Democratic Congress, Action Democratic Party, All Progressives Grand Alliance and All Progressives Congress.
Others are the Allied Peoples Movement, Action Peoples Party, Boot Party, New Nigeria Peoples Party, Peoples Redemption Party, Young Progressive Party and Zenith Labour Party.


The PDP at one of its meetings this week announced that it was declaring its support for the candidate of Accord Party, Governor Ademola Adeleke, as it added that it doesn’t have a candidate.
Governor Adeleke had on December 9, 2025, defected from the PDP to Accord and was hurriedly given the party’s ticket as its governorship candidate.
