The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed a 24-member Governorship Primary Appeal Panel, which includes the party’s National Chairman, Kabiru Turaki; its Secretary, Taofiq Arapaja, to consider petitions arising from the Osun State governorship primary ahead of the 2026 election.

This was contained in a statement issued on Monday, December 8, by the National Organising Secretary, Theophilus Shan.

The party stated that the appeal sitting will be held on Thursday, December 11, at the Bauchi Governor’s Lodge, Tatari Ali House, behind the ECOWAS Secretariat, Asokoro District, Abuja, with proceedings scheduled for 11am.

The PDP noted that the panel will operate strictly within the provisions of party and national regulations.

Recall that Adebayo Adedamola emerged as the governorship candidate of the PDP for the Osun 2026 election, in the absence of the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, who announced his defection.

Adedamola polled 919 votes out of 957 cast by delegates in the primary held in Osogbo, on Tuesday, December 2.

Other members are Daniel Woyengikuro, Hamza Koshe, Ihediwa Nnabugwu, Isa Abubakar, Okechukwu Daniel, Theophilus Shan, Ini Ememobong, Aribisala Idowu, Bara’u Shafi’I, and Ogbu Chinenyenwa.

Also on the list are; Emmanuel Ogidi, Kamorudeen Ajisafe, Bello Gwarzo, Francis Orogu, Ali Odeafa, Umar Babangida, Chief Obasi Elebe (SE), Mark Ogbole (NC), Nuhu Bajoga (NW), Shariff Abdullahi (NE), Ojo Michael Oke (SW), and Onyia Ejiofor (SS).
