President Muhammadu Buhari has received the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye in Aso Rock.
Adeboye was on Monday visited the president at the State House, Abuja.
The General Overseer held a meeting with the president which had in attendance Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, and Chief of Staff to Mr. President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari.
Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, disclosed this via his verified Twitter handle.
“President @MBuhari receives in audience General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (@rccghq), @PastorEAAdeboye, at the State House, Abuja,” he said.
Adeboye’s visit came when religious bodies are protesting against a section of the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020 recently signed into law by the president.
On August 7, Buhari signed the bill into law; the bill gives provision for religious bodies and charity organisations to be regulated by the registrar of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and a supervising minister.
