In a strategic initiative aimed at elevating the Redeemer’s College of Technology and Management (RECTEM) to the ranks of the world’s top educational institutions, the leadership of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has constituted an 8-member panel to conduct a comprehensive review of the polytechnic’s operations since its establishment.
The panel has been tasked with assessing the institution’s progress, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending strategic measures to position RECTEM as a leading global tertiary institution.
At the inaugural meeting, held on Wednesday at the National Secretariat, Pastor E. A. Adeboye, General Overseer of RCCG, represented by National Overseer Pastor Sunday Akande, commended the panel members for their commitment to the vital role they are undertaking. He emphasized that the responsibility entrusted to them is of significant importance and will require both dedication and wisdom in order to achieve the vision of transforming RECTEM into a world-class institution.
Pastor Dele Balogun, Special Adviser to the General Overseer on Administration, formally introduced the 8-member panel, which is chaired by Professor (Mrs.) Olayinka Akinwusi, a Professor of Medicine at Osun State University. The panel also includes professionals from various fields, with members such as Mrs. Funmi Oluroyo, a professional secretary; Dr. Oluseyi Alakija of Redeemer’s University; Mr. Temitope K. Odunniyi from Olabisi Onabanjo University; Dr. (Mrs.) Kehinde Ogungbote of Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic; Professor Raheemi A. Morohunfolu from Lagos State University; Professor Pastor Ifeolu Koni; and Pastor Remi Oluboba, representing the Church.
Pastor Akande extended his blessings to the panel, urging them to take a holistic approach to the review process. He encouraged them to submit a comprehensive report by the end of the month of March 2025, which will provide essential insights and recommendations aimed at enhancing RECTEM’s status and aligning it with the standards of a world-class institution.
Professor Olayinka Akinwusi, speaking on behalf of the panel, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve in such a significant capacity. Acknowledging the gravity of the task, she assured the leadership that the committee would diligently execute its mandate.
The inauguration was also attended by key figures, including Pastor Sunday Ojeun, the Registrar of RECTEM; Pastor Olatunji Maclawson, Personal Assistant to the National Overseer; and Mrs. Adetoun Aremu from the Office of the SATGO Admin.
