RECTEM secures NBTE accreditation for 10 programmes

Redeemer’s College of Technology and Management, popularly known as RECTEM, has secured accreditation for 10 academic programmes from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).

The institution, in a release on Monday said the accreditation covered programmes in Built Environment Technology, Management and Sciences, in what it described as a major boost to its drive to provide quality and industry-relevant technical education.

RECTEM, an ambitious faith-based institution is situated at Redemption City, Mowe, Ogun State.

The accredited programmes include Architectural Technology, Estate Management and Valuation, Quantity Surveying, Accountancy, Business Administration and Management, Computer Science at both Ordinary National Diploma and Higher National Diploma levels, as well as Science Laboratory Technology with three options.

The development, according to the institution, would further strengthen its capacity to produce graduates equipped with practical knowledge and skills required to compete in the labour market and contribute to national development.

Reacting to the accreditation, RECTEM Rector, Arc. (Dr.) Oladunni Izobo-Martins, described the development as “a major milestone and a testament to the grace of God, dedication, hard work, and collective commitment of the entire RECTEM community.”

She expressed appreciation to the General Overseer, Transition Committee, management, staff, students and other stakeholders for their support towards the institution’s growth.

She also acknowledged the leadership of the Redeemed Christian Church of God for its support, while reaffirming the institution’s commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.

The Rector said RECTEM would continue to focus on equipping students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to make meaningful contributions to the development of the country.

The institution stated that the latest accreditation was in line with its vision of becoming a leading provider of quality, practical, industry-relevant and globally competitive technical education.
