The appeal lodged by members of the sacked executive of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara state, led by Ishola Balogun Fulani has been dismissed by the Supreme Court.

According to report, a five-man panel of the Supreme Court led by Justice Olabode Rhodes-Vivour, in a unanimous ruling said the appeal was without merit.

Justice Olukayode Ariwoola stated that the appeal should have been obeyed and transmitted within 14 days, as required under Order 7 of the Supreme Court’s Rules.

According to him, the appellant failed to obey the rule of the court when the record of appeal was transmitted outside the 14-day period.

The justice therefore said the appeal consequently becomes incompetent on this basis.
