Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested three vote buyers in various parts of Anambra State during Saturday November 8 governorship election.
The names of those arrested were given as Emeka Ilokasia, arrested at Ward 2, Njikoka Local Government Area; Nwachuwu Loretta, arrested at Ward 2(008), Awkuzu, Oyi Local Government and Emuka Chuwudi, arrested at Umunachi village, Dukonukofia Local Government.
They were arrested while wooing voters with money in the governorship election and they will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
It will be recalled that all the major candidates in the election, including Governor Charles Soludo, have accused one another of inducing voters with money and other items.
Even the election observers expressed concern over what they described as excessive use of money to influence voters in order to vote for them.
